Cup process instrument, designed according to GB/T 9753-88 and ISO 1520-73, is used to evaluate the performance of paint, varnish and other coatings against dry cracking or separation from metal substrate after being gradually deformed by compression test under the standard experimental method. The instrument is used to measure the stretchy and adhesive force of paint film on metal surface. It is a 20 mm diameter steel ball, with a certain force, pressed on the unpainted side of the test plate. Rotate the handwheel at a certain speed (recommended: 0.2mm/s) to top the steel ball and observe the surface of the test plate through a magnifying glass. Stop rotating the handwheel as soon as the test plate is deformed and the first crack is observed, and read the depth of the cup bulge from the LCD screen.
